New York – Congressman Pat Ryan, now in an election year, is finally paying attention to the devastating impact that MTA’s Congestion Pricing plan will have on many Hudson Valley residents. In light of Congressman Ryan’s failure of leadership on this critically important issue, following Thursday’s first of four planned MTA public hearings on congestion pricing, the Alison Esposito for Congress campaign issued the following statement today:
Pat Ryan, a House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee member, has failed to provide leadership, or take any meaningful actions to stop the devastating impact that MTA’s Congestion Pricing plan will have on Hudson Valley residents,” said Esposito for Congress Campaign Spokesman Clay Sutton. “Now, in a blatant-election-year-plot, Pat Ryan is hoping to fool Hudson Valley voters with a panicked attempt to cover his record of inaction on this critical issue.”
Alison Esposito has been a leader in fighting on this issue from the beginning, as a candidate for Lieutenant Governor, calling on Albany’s leaders to scrap the unfair and failed policy that will only deepen the economic pain so many hardworking New Yorkers are already experiencing. Hudson Valley residents are not fooled by Pat Ryan’s charade. Now more than ever, Hudson Valley voters deserve a Representative who will fight for their needs all the time, not just when they need a vote.
