01 ISSUE ONE

A Better Economy

  • Alison will fight to bring down inflation and the cost of living. Americans should not have to choose between putting gas in their car or food on their table.
  • Skyrocketing costs and supply chain issues are forcing small businesses to shut their doors as President Biden and Democrats in Congress continue putting Americans last.
  • If elected, Alison will work with fellow members to remove the State and Local Tax Deduction (SALT) cap and give needed relief to Hudson Valley families.
  • She believes we must also lower taxes for all Americans to stop Biden’s taxes on hard working families.
  • America must once again become energy independent to help bring back jobs and end our reliance and dependence on foreign sources of natural resources.
  • With over 2 million small businesses in New York, they are the lifeblood of any community. Alison will work hard in Congress to roll back the burdensome regulations affecting small businesses across our country.
02 ISSUE Two

Abortion

  • Alison believes that we must support and empower women. This includes providing quality medical care.  Like most Americans, Alison believes in reasonable exceptions and has NEVER advocated for a federal abortion ban. She believes that abortion should be safe, rare and not used as a form of birth control and rejects the far-left’s push for partial-birth and late-term abortions, which Pat Ryan supports.Babies who are born alive should receive medical care.
  • Pat Ryan and the far-left advocate for only one option for women who find themselves in an unplanned pregnancy. In stark contrast, Alison believes in empowering women and babies and supporting them at all stages of pregnancy to have access to more options in terms of financial resources, healthcare resources, and emotional support. She has always advocated for providing more resources and options to women.
03 ISSUE Three

Securing our Streets & Supporting our Law Enforcement

  • Alison will work tirelessly with state and local elected officials to secure the safety of all New Yorkers.
  • She opposes Kathy Hochul’s regressive criminal justice laws, such as Cashless Bail, the HALT Act, and Raise the Age.
  • Alison will hold radical District Attorneys who refuse to enforce the law accountable to the public.
  • Alison served with the NYPD for nearly 25 years. She was a Cop and Commanding Officer and understands the support our men and women in Blue need and deserve. For far too long, Police Officers across our nation have been treated as public enemy number one. To secure our streets for New Yorkers, we need our members of Congress to stand with and support our officers.
  • In Congress, she will work tirelessly to support a Federal Law Enforcement Bill of Rights, keep qualified immunity, and oppose any effort to defund the police.
  • We must protect New Yorkers from the rise in hate we have seen. Antisemitic attacks, attacks due to race, religion or LGBT hate must be confronted and crushed and NOT tolerated.
04 ISSUE Four

Military & Veterans Affairs

  • Alison believes we owe a great debt of gratitude to those who have put their lives on the line to defend our freedom.
  • Alison is committed to caring for, and supporting, those who served this great nation and will be combating veteran suicide and homelessness by pursuing preventative measures such as expanded mental health services for those suffering with PTSD, TBI, and other service-related mental health illnesses and enhanced educational and employment opportunities for active servicemembers and veterans alike.
  • Our military should always be fully funded to provide our service members with the training and tools they need to stay a lethal fighting force capable of defending American national security interests. We have lost our footing on the world stage, and as a result there are two active wars.
  • Alison believes in accomplishing Peace through Strength, and it is time to ensure our military is supported, trained, and given the necessary resources and equipment to accomplish this endeavor.
  • The Department of Veterans Affairs should receive the funding and attention it needs to modernize to better serve the health, wellness, and families of American service members.
  • In the United States of America, our veterans should NEVER feel like their priorities come second. No service member left behind.
05 ISSUE Five

Protecting New York’s Seniors

  • Alison will not support cuts to Social Security, Medicare, or other benefits America’s seniors depend on. We must rein in out of control, wasteful government spending and come up with new solutions to ensure that future generations of Americans can also reap the benefits of their investments in these retirement programs.
  • We are obligated to protect our seniors from scams and other fraudulent criminal activities. Every year, millions of dollars are stolen from American seniors by scammers. Congress can and should play a larger role in raising awareness and passing new legislation that affords stronger protections for seniors and harsher penalties for criminals.
06 ISSUE Six

Homeland Security

  • This Country was founded on Lawful Immigration, and we must work together to fix the system for those who wish to legally immigrate and live the American Dream.
  • Alison visited our Southern Border at the first chance to understand first hand, the challenges faced by our Border Patrol Officers, the hardships faced by migrants, and the threats posed by the cartels and terrorist organizations.
  • It is clear that under the Biden Administration, there is a manufactured humanitarian and national security crisis. Our Southern Border is NOT secure, and deadly drugs, such as fentanyl and fentanyl related substances, plague our communities are not the only concern. Over the past year alone, over 170 people on the terrorist watch list have illegally crossed our border that we know of.
  • Since the start of the Biden Administration, there have been 6.5 million encounters at our Southwest Border, and 1.7 million known “gotaways” who have evaded Border Patrol.
  • Congress must seek to end Catch and Release and revisit legislation to strengthen and streamline the asylum process.
  • We need leaders in Washington who will give the Department of Homeland Security the manpower and equipment they require to stem the tide of drugs, and rescue children and women from human traffickers. And who will stand up to foreign adversaries making our border crisis worse.
  • The construction of our border wall must resume, and new technologies should be employed to monitor our borders.
07 ISSUE Seven

Education

  • Alison believes that parents must have the right to be as involved in their child’s education as they wish, and any efforts to distance a parent from their child’s education must be stopped.
  • Every child in this country deserves a quality education free of divisive curriculums. Parents should have access to all curriculum material being used to teach their children.
  • We must develop entrepreneurship programs for students and increase apprenticeships for students across America. For some students, the 4-year degree is not for them, and we must increase the opportunities for trade and technical education.
  • We must protect the safety of our daughters and NOT allow biological males to compete in women’s sports. Young women deserve the ability to train and compete and win or lose on fair grounds.
  • We must protect the safety of women in spaces like locker rooms and bathrooms.
08 ISSUE Eight

Foreign Affairs

  • America must be respected on the world stage. Under the current administration, our nation has lost its standing. We need leadership back in the White House and a Congress that is respected by the international community.
  • We must unequivocally support our ally, Israel, and give them the resources needed to defeat the terrorist group Hamas. They have every right to defend themselves from horrific terrorist attacks, and any Congressperson who does not support Israel should be called out and asked why.
  • The United States should be ready to leverage the diplomatic tools at its disposal, including the imposition of sanctions, to protect the American consumer from high prices, safeguard the environment, and avoid supporting our foreign adversaries in the pursuit of resources that can otherwise be sourced sustainably within our borders
09 ISSUE Nine

An Accountable Government

  • Alison feels that securing our elections should not be a partisan issue. All New Yorkers deserve to have their votes counted correctly and accurately, and we should be doing everything possible to ensure free and fair elections.
  • We should require voter ID and other methods to ensure the person submitting the ballot is who they say they are. No one should be opposed to more safeguards on our elections.
  • Alison supports term limits on Members of Congress. People should go to Washington to share their experience and their ideas and, after some time give way to new people.
