GOSHEN, NY – In case you missed it, Congressman Pat Ryan last week proved once again he is a blind rubber stamp in Congress for President Biden’s failed and dangerous open border agenda, praising Biden’s ‘strong leadership’ on the border crisis during his State of the Union Address. This despite the fact that the Biden administration has allowed our southern border to spiral into a humanitarian and national security crisis, with nearly 8 million illegal migrants, having entered the U.S. illegally since Biden took office.
Alison Esposito, a 25-year veteran of the New York Police Department (NYPD), former candidate for Lieutenant Governor, and candidate for Congress in New York’s 18th Congressional District, issued the following statement regarding Pat Ryan’s support for President Biden’s failed and dangerous open border policies:
Pat Ryan is dangerous on border security. Following last week’s State of the Union address, Ryan boldly praised President Biden’s remarks, despite the fact that he failed to address the border crisis he created and now refuses to fix with his disastrous pro-criminal policies. Let’s be clear, the border remains wide open under Biden and Ryan’s watch, endangering America’s national security and putting law-abiding New Yorkers at risk because of dangerous ‘sanctuary city’ policies, which Pat Ryan himself recklessly enacted in 2019 as Ulster County Executive.
Joe Biden and Pat Ryan’s open border policies have created chaos in our communities, putting criminals ahead of decent American families and workers. Under Biden and Ryan’s watch, nearly 8 million illegal migrants have entered illegally into the United States. We’ve repeatedly seen tragic stories come out about victims of President Biden’s border crisis, including the tragic murder of nursing student Laken Riley, by an illegal migrant with a criminal record. Pat Ryan even voted AGAINST the bipartisan Laken Riley Act last week, which was supported by 40 Democrats. The legislation would require ICE to detain any illegal migrant charged with a serious crime, protecting American citizens from illegal migrant criminals, yet Pat Ryan disgracefully voted ‘NO’ on the Laken Riley Act. Enough is enough. How many more Americans have to become victims before we wake up? The southern border is wide open, and President Biden and far-left allies like Pat Ryan are to blame.
