GOSHEN, NY – Today, Alison Esposito, 25-year veteran of the New York Police Department (NYPD), former candidate for Lieutenant Governor, and candidate for Congress, issued the following statement in response to Pat Ryan’s State of the Hudson Valley address on Thursday, where Ryan failed to once mention the crisis at our southern border which has led to record-high numbers of illegal migrants entering our country.
President Biden’s failed open border and sanctuary city policies, which Pat Ryan and his far-Left allies in Congress voted to support in lock-step, have led to record-high numbers of illegal migrants entering our country. Yet in his State of the Hudson Valley address, he failed to mention the manufactured Biden Border Crisis that is placing a huge burden on Hudson Valley residents, such as causing deadly drugs like fentanyl to invade our communities, even ONE SINGLE TIME. Pat Ryan is completely out-of-touch with the issues facing our district. Instead of fighting to solve the border and migrant crisis he helped create, Pat Ryan has completely supported Joe Biden’s failed open border agenda and its dangerous consequences.

Esposito has called out Pat Ryan for his record of failed leadership on addressing the border and migrant crisis repeatedly.
Pat Ryan has a long record of supporting open border policies, and the Ulster County Executive made Ulster a sanctuary county and refused to work with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
In November 2023, Esposito joined a group of candidates and elected officials to visit the Yuma section of the Southern Border to witness the Biden Border crisis firsthand.
