On the tragic loss of now Detective Diller:

I pray it is (a turning point for change). I thought the last line of duty death would have been the impetus for change. Stephanie Diller stood at that funeral, and I sat there alongside the elected officials, the very elected officials that have failed her, that have failed Jonathan (Diller), that failed our first responders. And I cried with her, and I cried for her. And I watched her stand there a hero in her own right. She made an impassioned plea to the elected officials. But just over two years ago, a widow did the same thing. Dominique Rivera begged our feckless leaders to do something about bail reform, to do something about holding criminals accountable, and it fell on deaf ears, I pray that this is the change, that this is the wake-up call this city needs.

It’s not rocket science, it’s 101. We need to hold criminals responsible for their actions.

Government’s number one job is to keep their people safe, and then get out of their lives. That’s what Lee (Zeldin) and I ran on. This is a deep blue state, but it’s really a red state with blue dots. And I submit that this last one and this coming one, isn’t a ‘red wave’, it is a ‘red, white, and blue wave’, it is a common-sense wave, this is Democrats, Republicans and Independents standing up and saying, enough is enough, we want our public safety, we want to back our law enforcement and first responders.

On her race for Congress in New York’s 18th Congressional District:

I am running against Pat Ryan in New York’s 18th Congressional District…He’s the WRONG guy for this district. He was the Ulster County Executive, he made Ulster County a sanctuary county, he refused to cooperate with ICE, now he repeatedly votes against border security.

On far-left political leaders in New York City ordering a FDNY fire company to remove it’s “red line” American flag honoring the squad’s six brothers killed on 9/11:

So, this is the problem with the far left. They are overly offended and dramatically outraged and always concentrated on the wrong things. You have an individual, who looks at the flag, and alleges that it is a politically divisive and fascist flag? Who are we kidding? This is the American flag! That red line signifies those brave firefighters who perished in the line of duty, they are always hell-bent on concentrating on what divides us, rather than what unites us, and this political outrage is ridiculous. This is another attack on our brave first responders, and our American flag. The very symbol of unity.
