For Immediate Release:

GOSHEN, NY – Today, Alison Esposito, a 25-year veteran of the New York Police Department (NYPD), former candidate for Lieutenant Governor, and candidate for Congress in New York’s 18th Congressional District, issued the following statement after the New York State Legislature voted against the IRC Congressional Maps:

Albany once again is hell-bent on playing games with New York’s Congressional Maps. New Yorkers are sick and tired of the constant political witchcraft from career politicians up in Albany and Washington who go out of their way to put politics and self-interest before the needs of hard-working New Yorkers.

If Albany truly cared about fair representation, they would have kept the 2022 Congressional Maps, which created some of the most competitive and close House races in the country. Unfortunately, that is not what they’re focused on. At a time when America is facing a manufactured migrant crisis, a sky-high cost of living crisis, and the failed policies of President Biden, the so-called ‘leaders’ in New York are only focused on power grabs. We must, and can do better, by electing commonsense people to office.

As I have said before, I have never and will never back down from a fight. My whole life has been spent protecting those who cannot protect themselves and being a voice for the voiceless. I will not be deterred from partisan games. If anything, it strengthens my resolve to fight harder every day to bring new leadership to the Hudson Valley
